Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish model and actor since 11 November 1996. Following her small debut performance as an archaeologist Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989, her role as Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character in A View to a Kill (Bond film 1985), she went onto portray the Nazi-sympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan donavan was in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987. Charlotte appeared in Taffin (in the year 1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody was a model when the opportunity was offered by an aspiring photographer. She has since transformed into commercial modeling. Doody did not shy away from glamour or nude work a clause which allowed her to pursue an acting career. Having come to the attention to the director of casting for an upcoming James Bond film she accepted a small part as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody played an unseen role as the wife of Archibald Craven Lilias as she appeared in his dream, 1987's adaptation from The Secret Garden. Her first lead role was in the 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller as Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. The year 1988 was the first time she appeared alongside Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. Her most notable performance to date was her role as Austrian Nazi sympathiser as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. In the film, she also appeared alongside Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody has acted alongside three actors in the role of James Bond. Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries, a British mini-series inspired by Hitler Diaries. Later, she relocated to Hollywood. She was Flannery the agent of Charlie Sheen and girlfriend on the set of Major League II. She had been chosen as the replacement for Cybill Shepherd who was L'Oreal's first spokeswoman. Doody's return to the big screen came in 2003. Michael Caine played Doody in an uncredited role. She starred along alongside Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film version of King Solomon's Mines. In 2010, Doody played a role on Danny Dyer's feature film The Rapture (2010). Then, she appeared in the RTE medical thriller The Clinic. She was supposed to be the star of a remake in 2011 of the classic horror film The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. The actress began her two seasons of Beaver Falls, the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. The show featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way which was a film from 2014. In November she was awarded the Almeria tierra de Cine Award and was awarded a Star on the Walk of Fame in Almeria.
