Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix had an early aptitude for athletics when she was attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Her sprinting potential at the time. Ten weeks after the first time she tried out the sport, she finished second in 200m in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003, signed a sports contract with Adidas. Then she was accepted into an institution called the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. Her first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics held at Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for running 200m in 22.18 secs. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to take home the 200 meters race. In 2007 she defended this title and beat her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed among the top three athletes in each of her events.
