Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 of 1985 from Los Angeles. She has a father named Paul Felix. Paul Felix is an ordained Minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix demonstrated a talent for athletics early on discovering her ability to sprint when she attended Los Angeles Baptist High School. After only 10 weeks after her first attempt, Felix placed second in the 200-meter race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was signed to a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003, and then enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal was at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 secs. She was the youngest ever world champion in the 200m in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She always finished at the top of the podium in the events.
